Engaging Men and Boys in Noviolence

The Texas Council on Family Violence has created a guide for anti‐violence workers that addresses the need to engage men and boys in non‐violence work. Drawing on national discourses on male engagement and anchoring that in anecdotal information collected from Texans working in the field, the guide provides a thought‐provoking analysis of the work that is being done in Texas to end violence against women and some practical tools for engaging men and boys. This workshop will provide an overview of primary prevention, highlight statewide and national efforts and provide an overview of the guide.
